Inspiring greatness is about so much more than simply motivating the next generation of women leaders to aspire to leadership positions within their workplace. The KPMG Women’s Leadership Summit, which has sought to inspire the next generation of female leaders, provides women with guidance and support as they navigate these uncertain times fraught with burnt out employees and rising jobless numbers in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
For the first time since 2019, the Summit will once again be held in person at Congressional Country Club in conjunction with the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, one of five majors on the LPGA Tour schedule. The eighth edition of the Summit will be live-streamed on June 22 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. ET at KPMG.com/WomensLeadership. In 2021, nearly 4 million watched the stream of the Summit.
Each year, the KPMG Women’s Leadership Summit brings together the brightest minds in business, sports, and entertainment who share insights into their success. On Wednesday, June 22 at Congressional Country Club, Indra Nooyi, Former Chairman and CEO of PepsiCo, will give the keynote address. Nooyi grew up in India and received her MBA from Yale before ascending to the C-Suite in 2006. She spent 24 years with PepsiCo and during her time she introduced healthier and more environmentally friendly products. She retired in 2019.
This year’s summit will also feature Dominique Dawes, who was a member for 10 years of Team USA Gymnastics. Dawes was the first African-American to compete on the Team and was a part of the Gold Medal Olympic Team in 1996. She also became the first African-American to win an individual medal in gymnastics when she captured the Bronze medal in the floor exercise during the 1996 Olympic Games. Keri Walsh Jennings, a four-time Olympic medalist, will also speak during this year’s Summit.
