While traveling as a Content Producer for the LPGA is exciting, life on the road isn’t always as glamorous as some people think.

My job producing videos for the LPGA Women’s Network includes a range of ever-changing tasks that could include anything from coordinating venue logistics, managing film crews, and editing footage, to interviewing players, industry executives, or even hosting on-camera.

It’s a fast-paced job, so when the more tedious parts of traveling slow me down–like getting a rental car to drive to the golf course for a shoot–it can turn a long day into a frustrating one real fast.

Fortunately for me, I recently discovered National Rental Car’s Emerald Club, which makes the travel process that much easier.

During my trip to Dallas to cover the Versant Health Women’s Leadership Summit at the LPGA’s Volunteers of America Classic, once my flight landed, I was trying not to relive those long, boring stretches of time spent waiting for the rental car like I did during my college golf days as we traveled to tournaments.

I also wasn’t looking toward to all the mental math it’d take for me to figure out what size car I’d need to fit my luggage and my two 50-pound video kits.

So you can imagine my surprise when I was able to get my car packed and off the lot in less than five minutes.

As an Emerald Club member, I was able to skip the rental car check-in counter, and go straight to the Emerald Aisle. I had the freedom to choose between so many different kinds of vehicles from sports cars to large SUVs, and I was able to try out different makes and models to find the perfect one with enough trunk space for all my luggage and gear. And the best part? When I found the perfect rental car for me, the keys were already inside, so I was ready to get on the road to the golf course.

From coordinating interviews to keeping up with emails to getting to my destination as soon as possible, National really is the greatest of all time, and I’m excited to continue traveling with them on the road.
