The LPGA Leadership Academy Scholarship, granted to a female high school senior who is pursuing a college education in the United States, is designed to inspire, cultivate, and support female undergraduates from diverse backgrounds to achieve their potential as future leaders.
Four student athletes, who previously attended an LPGA Leadership Academy, were each awarded $5,000 to go towards their college education. Join us in celebrating their achievements and cheering them on in achieving their dreams.
Alexia Gutierrez

- Attended the 2016 ACER Academy
With the support of the LPGA Leadership Academy Scholarship, Alexia Gutierrez will be able to attend her dream school to study chemistry in the hopes of becoming a materials scientist to develop better golf equipment and non-toxic golf balls to support the environment.
She will use the leadership skills she gained to continue to grow her organization, Latinxgolf.org, and make a positive impact on the world of golf.
Mika Miyata

After transforming from a shy student, afraid of making mistakes, to a confident, goal-oriented high school senior after hearing stories from women executives at an LPGA Leadership Academy, Mika Miyata decided to pursue a degree in marketing with the hope of one day working for an organization like the LPGA.
She credits her once-in-a-lifetime experience at the LPGA Leadership Academy for giving her the tools to help turn her aspirations into reality.
Riley Schindler

Riley Schindler plans on making the most of her scholarship while pursuing a degree in environmental engineering to work on water resources, climate change, or increasing landfill solutions, as well as a minor in music.
The confidence she gained from the LPGA Leadership Academy helped give her the skills to stay positive and fearless in face of the challenges that arise in her life.
Katelyn Piesko

With the help of the LPGA Leadership Academy Scholarship, Katelyn Piesko plans on studying communication sciences to become a pediatric speech-language pathologist to help ensure children can express themselves.
Before attending the LPGA Leadership Academy, she was often consumed by stress, fear, and anxiety. Now, the experience has motivated her to think positively, face her fears, and know that she is capable to controlling her thoughts, emotions, and attitude in any situation.
