STOCKBRIDGE, GA (July 8, 2024) – The Legends of the LPGA are set to return to Eagle’s Landing Country Club in Stockbridge, Georgia, from July 24-26, 2024. This prestigious event will revive the club’s rich history in women’s golf, previously home to the LPGA Chick-fil-A Charity Championship hosted by Nancy Lopez.

The tournament will feature many renowned golfers who once graced these fairways, including Juli Inkster and returning champion Angela Stanford. This reunion of legendary players promises to deliver world-class golf while supporting a crucial cause.

Net proceeds from the event will benefit the Women in Golf Foundation, an Atlanta-based 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to promoting women in golf. The foundation creates opportunities for females by implementing programs that develop leadership and life skills through competitive golf, for both business and recreational purposes.

LaJean Gould, CEO of the Women in Golf Foundation, expressed her enthusiasm:
“The Women In Golf Foundation is honored to have been selected as the charity to benefit from this Legends of the LPGA event. It presents a wonderful opportunity for women to support women, and we are truly excited about it. Furthermore, we aim to seize the opportunity for the younger generation to witness these legends and be inspired to play at a higher level. Lastly, it is truly awesome to bring this event to Eagle’s Landing, my home course.”

The foundation’s mission includes supporting and training female youth golfers from an early age through college and into their chosen professions. Their signature focus is on developing women’s collegiate golf teams and identifying career opportunities within the golf industry and other corporate positions.

This event marks a significant collaboration between three great organizations, bringing together the Legends of the LPGA, Eagle’s Landing Country Club, and the Women in Golf Foundation for the benefit of all involved in women’s golf.
