You know their names, you’ve seen them on TV, but did you know you might run into one of these twelve celebs on the links?!

From actors and fashion designers to influencers and politicians, the one thing these women all have the one thing in common: they’ve been bitten by the golf bug.

1. Jennifer Lopez

“J-Lo” and Alex Rodriguez decided golf was the best way to celebrate their recent engagement.

The couple winded down after an exciting weekend with a quiet game of golf on Monday at Bakers Bay Golf Club in the Bahamas.

2. Kyle Richards Umansky

Any Real Housewives junkies will be familiar with Kyle Richards from the show’s Beverly Hills franchise. Kyle’s husband Mauricio is quite the golfer, and earlier this year she cheered him on as he fired a 69 to make the cut at the PGA TOUR’s Desert Classic.

But Mauricio isn’t the only member of their family who’s made making a splash on the golf course – perhaps he took the initiative to #inviteHER to the game?

Kyle’s been known to trade getting dressed to the nines for brunch with dressing for nine with her girlfriends (trendy hats included).

3. Vera Wang

In an interview with InStyle, designer Vera Wang admits that while she’s no pro, she’s an enthusiastic golfer who uses golf as a tool to “engage.”

“I’m not a huge exercise person, but I love to play golf at Liberty National, in Jersey City, N. J., or at Atlantic Golf Club in the Hamptons if I happen to be out there,” she said. For Vera, it isn’t about how well she plays.

It’s all about the enjoyment of the game. “I’m terrible but enthusiastic.”

Model/actress Kate Upton considered herself a fair-weather golfer, playing just once a year.

Five years ago she decided she wanted to play beyond her family’s annual Christmas golf outing and decided to invest more time in honing her skills. Her interest and motivation to improve lead her to golf legend Arnold Palmer who became her coach and mentor. and began to give her golf lessons. Kate’s favorite club is the driver, just like Arnie’s.

Miss America titleholder Kira Kazanstev has a golf story that many young women who leave the game early can relate to.

“I grew up playing with my dad but in high school decided that golf wasn’t cool,” she said. “Looking back, [quitting golf] was one of the silliest decisions I ever made. Getting back to the game has been an enormous addition to my life, and I’m so thankful to my dad for instilling the fundamental golf skills in me that allowed me to pick up right where I left off.”
Kira is an avid golfer to this day, and a very good player at that.

10. Dr. Condoleezza Rice

Former Secretary of State Dr. Condoleezza Rice didn’t pick up the game until she turned 50, proving it’s really never too late to start.

She’s reported her handicap as low as a 14 and cites her driving and putting as the strongest part of her game. If she could get better with her irons and wedges, she says her handicap would improve tremendously. Dr. Rice also became one of the first female members of Augusta National Golf Course, home of the Master’s Tournament.
