The LPGA Foundation announced today a record number of recipients for the 2023 Marilynn Smith Scholarship. Twenty-four high-school graduates went above and beyond with their outstanding academic excellence, leadership skills and community impact.

The Marilynn Smith Scholarship is named in honor of one of the LPGA’s most beloved Founders, who was known for being the Goodwill Ambassador on the LPGA Tour in the early years. This scholarship awards $5,000 each to high school seniors who plan to play golf at an accredited college or university in the United States.

Since Marilynn Smith established her namesake scholarship program in 1999, the LPGA Foundation has awarded more than $1 million to scholarship recipients.

Thanks to the generosity of Daphne’s Headcovers (Jane Spicer); Dover Associates and Epic Plumbing; Golf It Forward; The Pappas Family; Tori Totlis, and the Marilynn Smith & Founders’ Legacy Foundation, the LPGA Foundation will award $120,000 in scholarships to the 24 recipients listed below in 2023.
